Interim

Synopsis
An old woman tells about her dangerous life at the end of the Second World War on her estate in Pomerania. But on May 8, 1945, the so called »zero hour« which brought peace, nothing earth-shaking happens in Marga´s life. Like the days before, this one also passes in fear of the occupying forces. She is captured in her sense of duty in staying on the estate and has the mere wish to survive. »My zero hour was in October", says Marga. Because then something happened that changed her life and that finally also allowed her to begin a new life in peace.

The monologue INTERIM was written for the Festival »Capitulation or Liberation - the Zero Hour« at the Landestheater Tübingen 2005.
